HOUSTON, TX (September 29, 2011) — Newpark Resources achieved the #1 customer satisfaction ranking for shale wells among all oilfield service companies, as recently announced in the EnergyPoint Research customer satisfaction survey of U.S.-based shale operators for the third quarter of 2011.
EnergyPoint Research is an independent research firm focusing on the oil and gas industry’s satisfaction with the products and services it purchases and utilizes. EnergyPoint determines its rankings from more than 6,000 ongoing customer evaluations that include key personnel working at most of the world’s largest energy companies, as well as field personnel employed at independent and regional operators.

EnergyPoint Research’s 2010 Oilfield Products and Services customer satisfaction survey ranked Newpark Resources first in drilling fluid products, drilling fluid services, availability & delivery, and HSE. The company’s new high-performance, water-based, Evolution™ drilling fluid system won the World Oil Innovation Award for “Best Drilling, Completions & Production Fluids” and garnered the 2011 Hart’s E&P Special Meritorious Award for Engineering Innovation, presented at the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston, Texas, this past May.
